What Causes Tinnitus And What You Can Do
Whether you are dealing with loud tinnitus or soft tinnitus the issue still remains and until you focus on the resolution you will continue to have the issues tinnitus causes. How people cope with tinnitus varies and is dependent on their pain and emotional tolerance.
3 Major Causes
1) You have ototoxic drugs and many anti-inflammatory drugs have drastic effects on the auditory system. Though these drugs may be relieving stress or pain from another area you have to determine what is more important. I would suggest consulting your doctor and asking what drugs would be able to give the same level of relief but not have such and effect on your tinnitus.
2) The next physical disorders and diseases such as diabetes this is mainly due to the fact that with diabetes you have generally speaking less blood flow and this ultimately decreases the speed at which your internal systems communicates this can lead to many missed cues and symptoms of tinnitus. After that is otoscelerosis which is treatable by surgery and is rare in its occasion.
3) The last major cause sis physical trauma and this plays into what we have discussed in previous articles but many times physical trauma can be the catalyst for your tinnitus. Much of the tinnitus we encounter has to do with the association of sounds and many of these lead back to one specific traumatic event which may have happened long in the past but the noise is still associated to that emotion and until that charges you will feel the effects.
Common Reactions
After identifying the 3 major causes I thought it would be helpful to discuss the different reactions that I have come across, various tinnitus causes, as well as some common symptoms that I have seen. Tinnitus can show up in many forms a lot of the time when it begins it creates a general headache and people often confuse the noise associate with the pain as a ‘ringing headache’ when it could possible be early signs of tinnitus. When I say the ‘ringing sounds’ I don’t mean to say that the sounds heard are always ringing. I have heard a vast array of descriptions for the sounds that people have heard from crickets chirping to nails down a chalk board. The tough part is that sometimes these symptoms of tinnitus can lead to what is called tinnitus nausea but simply put it is feeling sick from what you are experiencing. Though typically I have found that tinnitus is reflected the same in both ears I have heard of many cases where they feel they have tinnitus in one ear and it is no matter whether it is tinnitus in right ear or tinnitus in left ear they sounds and reactions are the same. Sometimes people have felt that the tinnitus is causing air pressure but regardless of the pain you don’t want tinnitus getting worse.
Causes and reactions are different for everyone my goal is to create a baseline of knowledge for what other people are experiencing and why so you can begin your start to a life that is tinnitus free.
